Collaborating with Weddings with Joy

I've had the pleasure of knowing Courtney Foreman, the owner of Weddings with Joy, for quite some time. It was during one of our vendor gatherings that Courtney approached me with an exciting idea. She expressed her desire to revamp the wall in her shop, the very backdrop where brides-to-be capture the cherished moment of saying "Yes to the Dress." Courtney envisioned something lush, something that would not only make for stunning pictures but would also add an extra touch of elegance for her clients. With her color palette in mind, consisting mainly of white and blush tones, our collaboration journey began.

We knew that the wall where the flower garland would be placed needed to make a statement. It had to be grand, something that would instantly captivate. Thus, the idea of a large, lush garland cascading from the bottom up, reaching a height of at least 10 feet, emerged. We aimed for an aesthetic that resonated with the boutique's elegant theme. Incorporating three different faux greenery varieties added texture and interest to the garland. To align with Courtney's vision, we selected white hydrangeas and roses, along with blush roses and lisianthus. Introducing earthy-toned eucalyptus helped break up the floral arrangement, enhancing its overall texture and allure.

Tuesday, the designated closed day for the shop, couldn't have been more opportune for us to bring our vision to life. At 10 am sharp, we delved into the installation process with enthusiasm. Once the mechanical structure was securely in place, I began the meticulous task of greening the structure. My aim was to achieve a lush and full appearance while ensuring that the structure itself remained concealed beneath the verdant foliage. With the greenery arranged to my satisfaction, I proceeded to adorn the garland with delicate white hydrangeas. Mindful of creating a cohesive yet effortlessly natural look, I carefully interspersed the blooms, eschewing rigid groupings in favor of a whimsical, garden-inspired arrangement. The intertwining of white and blush hues lent an air of organic elegance, evoking the charm of a blossoming garden in full bloom. As the final petal found its place, we stepped back to survey our handiwork. A profound sense of satisfaction washed over us, knowing that our collaborative effort had culminated in a masterpiece that would enhance the bridal experience at Weddings with Joy.

Being able to contribute, even in a small way, to enhancing the experiences of her clients on their special day has been truly rewarding.
