Romantic Wildflower Wedding at Capital City Barn | Olympia Wedding Florist
There is something so special about spring weddings in the Pacific Northwest, and this beautiful wedding at Capital City Barn was filled with soft romantic colors and organic wildflower textures. As an Olympia wedding florist, these are the weddings I absolutely love creating, designs that feel natural, garden-inspired, and full of movement.
Soft Pink, Peach, and Lavender Wedding Flowers
To help bring the vision to life, I also created a mood board for inspiration during the design process. This helped guide the overall feeling of the wedding florals and kept everything cohesive from the ceremony to the reception. I’ll be sharing that mood board here so you can see the inspiration behind this romantic spring palette.
The color palette for this wedding was soft pink, peach, and lavender, which worked perfectly with the spring season and the romantic setting at Capital City Barn in Olympia, WA.

For the floral designs, I used soft peach roses, blush roses, delicate pink larkspur for that whimsical wildflower look, spray roses, and asters to create texture and movement throughout the arrangements. The flowers created a romantic garden-style design that felt elegant while still looking fresh and organic.
The bridal bouquet had layered textures and soft movement that made it feel like it had been gathered from a spring garden. Every arrangement throughout the wedding was tied together beautifully with the same soft romantic tones.

When the Bride Doesn’t Know Exactly What She Wants
One of my favorite parts of this wedding was getting to work closely with the bride throughout the planning process. During our first conversations, she honestly did not know exactly what she wanted for her wedding flowers. This is actually very common for brides planning their wedding day.
A big part of my process as an Olympia wedding florist is what I call a “translation” stage — where we take feelings, inspiration, and ideas and turn them into actual flowers, colors, and design direction. Most brides don’t come in knowing specific flower names, and that’s completely okay. My job is to help bridge that gap.
We talk through questions like:
Do you want your wedding to feel soft and romantic or bold and dramatic?
Are you drawn to garden-style flowers or something more structured and modern?
Do you love airy movement and wildflower texture, or a more classic rose-focused design?
From there, I translate those answers into floral choices — like soft pink, peach, and lavender tones, airy pink larkspur for movement, lush roses for romance, spray roses for softness, and asters for that natural wildflower feel.

After talking through all the details together, she gave me the creative freedom to design florals that matched her vision and personality.
As an Olympia wedding florist, these are some of my favorite weddings to create because every design becomes personal and truly one-of-a-kind. I love translating a couple’s ideas into flowers that feel intentional, emotional, and unique to their story instead of following a cookie-cutter design style.
This bride especially reminded me why I became a florist — and why I fell in love with weddings in the first place. She trusted me creatively, stayed open throughout the process, and allowed me to translate her vision into florals that felt romantic, natural, and completely unique to her wedding day. Those are always the weddings that mean the most to me.

A Romantic Spring Wedding Full of Trust and Natural Beauty
This wedding at Capital City Barn was such a beautiful reminder of why I love what I do. From the soft pink, peach, and lavender color palette to the airy wildflower textures of larkspur, roses, spray roses, and asters, every detail came together in a way that felt natural, romantic, and deeply personal.
What made this wedding even more meaningful was the creative process itself. The bride came in without a clear vision for specific flowers, but with an openness to explore ideas and a feeling she wanted to capture. Through conversation, questions, and trust, we translated that feeling into a floral design that truly reflected her and her wedding day.
As an Olympia wedding florist, these are the moments I value most, when design becomes a collaboration, and the final result feels like it could only belong to that couple. Every arrangement, every color choice, and every texture told part of their story.
From planning to delivery, this wedding was a perfect example of how beautiful things can become when you allow space for creativity and trust the process. It was an honor to design these florals for such a special day in Olympia, WA.
